Let's take a look back at some of the main drone services and film productions using mixed Drone & Ground images, carried out in Marseille, Provence and the Southern Region in the second half of 2022, which we reported on our social networks as well as on the pages of our new website.
1 July 2022 - Eden Boat, La Ciotat : If you're looking for boat hire with professional and friendly skippers, check out Eden Boat in La Ciotat! Our photos and videos will be used on their website to illustrate the details of the boats available (5 types with 12 passengers!). A short video clip has also been produced.
7 & 8 July 2022 - A big series of shoots in Marseille, for a new US TV show, with the Inspire 2s in double-operator with X7 camera, ProResRaw codec and various focal lengths from 14 to 75mm! We went to the GPMM for the arrival and departure of the Princess Regal ship, then took flights for beauty shots from the seawall. La Major, the J4, Fort St-Jean, the Palais du Pharo, as well as a half-day trip to Aix-en-Provence around a lavender field that the 40-strong team had taken over!
12 July 2022 - New drone and ground shots at Château Charleval (Bouches-du-Rhône) and in the village at the foot of the Lubéron, for three new videos we made at the request of the art gallery, around the works of two new artists: Marie Guerrier and Jôrg Plickat.
13 July 2022 - Drone filming at Cotignac (Var) for a documentary on the Virgin Mary, at the Sanctuary of ND de Grâces. Here the impressive cliffs sheltering troglodyte houses!
15 August 2022 - Vaison-la-Romaine (Vaucluse)- In the middle of the summer, we flew over Vaison-la-Romaine for an American reality TV show, including the Pont-Romain over the Ouvèze, the Château-Comtal and the medieval town, as well as the ancient houses, all beauty shots that will illustrate the programme House Hunters International!
24 August 2022 - Drone and sea filming, between La Ciotat and the golf course at Fos-sur-mer. Both on-board and aerial drone footage was taken of the On-board and aerial drone footage was taken as part of the film we produced for the Brittany-based company QUIET-OCEANS, which is collaborating on the European PIAQUO project and has developed this buoy (yellow) fitted with hydrophones (submersible microphones) just for the occasion. For 3 months, the buoy will record the underwater sounds emitted by ships passing through the channel.

20 September 2022 - Eden Roc d'Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes) - For a documentary for GLOBO, Brazilian TV, we followed the architect who renovated it, Patricia Anastassiadis, into the gardens of the legendary hotel!
28 September 2022 - For a story on lorry transport, the TF1 TV news team asked us to take drone shots around Miramas. Broadcast on Thursday 29/09.2022, on the 8pm news.
29 & 30 September 2022 - Back to the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet for Ferrari, as in 2020, with our Inspire 2s in double-operator for a great adrenalin rush during 2 very fast days! See our compilation of our best drone shots, and some back-stage images.
14 October 2022 - Palais du Pharo, Marseille - Drone & Ground coverage of the Top Transport trade show, which was celebrating its 30th year! A festive evening of dancing, filmed by our Mavic 3 and Sony FX3 camera, at the foot of the Pharo, draped in sublime lighting, as you can see in this photo. 10/30 October 2022 - Cassis and Provence - For the famous British TV programm FRED'S LAST RESORT, produced by Betty TV and broadcast on Channel 4 in March 2023.
Drone-Pictures was commissioned by the audiovisual production company to capture all kinds of aerial images with the Mavic 3 drone around the magnificent village of Cassis, the bay, Cap Canaille and its cliffs, vineyards in the Var, and above all the hotel where the series was filmed, namely Les Roches Blanches, which you can see in the daytime image.
25 October 2022 - Drone shots taken for BOUISSEREN on a fibre-optic installation site in the hills above Coudoux.
1st and 11th November 2022 : The Teliri cable-laying ship lays the submarine cable in Marseille and Barcelona. We were asked to film the arrival of a submarine cable in Marseille and Barcelona using a drone and on the ground! In Barcelona, no drone, but a 360 camera on board and our Sony FX3, on board and on the beach. Read the full article and photos from the shoot on our Blog.
04 November 2022: Who says we never fly our drones in the northern districts of Marseille? From Mourepiane to Saint-André, via the Consolat housing estate and district, we flew over several kilometres of railway line for the needs of a specific SNCF-Réseau communication.
15 November 2022: ITER Organisation once again entrusted us with the shooting of the Autumn 2022 site monitoring video, filmed entirely by the Mavic 3 drone, indoors only.
20 November 2022: Groupe Omnium - Interviews filmed at the group's headquarters in Marseille using the Sony FX3, and around a hundred archive photos edited for an in-house screening.
28 November 2022 - Our Mavic 3 drone in flight over Form 10 of the GPMM, Marseille, filming a Costa Croisières ship for drone shots and interviews for a documentary as part of National Geographic's fabulous Europe From Above series produced by Windfall Films London, broadcast in France on Disney Channel.
